What happened in your life that you decided to lose weight?
At 145 kg and just 25 years old, I’ll be honest—I was a mess.
Physically, emotionally, and mentally. I reached a point where I genuinely got worried.
For years, I struggled with my weight, and it felt like life was only getting harder.
Most of the time, I’d reach for junk food, and I quickly started piling on the kilos. It happened fast.
I couldn’t move the way I wanted to, and I knew my health was at risk. But the hardest part? How I felt about myself.
One day, I decided enough was enough. That one day was an accident—I was lying on a stretcher when it broke due to my weight.
I had to take control—of my life and my body.
I started small. I changed how I ate.
At first, I didn’t know much about nutrition, so I experimented. I tried different diets and adjusted how I shopped for groceries. Was it easy? Absolutely not. I’d tried maybe 4 or 5 diets before and quit every one of them.
With diet changes, I also committed to working out daily. I even switched gyms and trainers because nothing seemed to work.
However, when I discovered the keto diet, everything changed.
I had a personalized keto plan made for my body type, and it just clicked.
No forcing it, no constant struggle—it became part of my routine naturally. The best part? I didn’t have to give up my favorites like chicken, cheese, and butter.
Combining that diet with daily workouts, no matter how small, I finally started seeing results. Over 7 months, I lost 50 kg.

Of course, there were plenty of moments when I wanted to quit. More than I can count. But here’s what helped me push through:
- Consistency—not overthinking or making drastic changes, just sticking to the routine day in, day out.
- A personalized keto plan designed for my body. I would emphasize—personalized. Once every 45 days I would allow myself to have a “cheat day.”
- Working out consistently. Even if it was just a short session, I made sure to show up. I did not skip any gym days.
Looking back, I wish I’d realized earlier that finding the right diet for your body is crucial. It’s not about following the latest trends, but figuring out what works for you.
Was the journey hard? Absolutely. But it was worth every struggle. Today, I’m more energetic, confident, and mentally stronger than I ever imagined. It wasn’t just about losing weight - it was about finding myself again.
Now that I’ve reached my goal, I’m focused on maintaining my progress. I’ve kept the weight off by sticking to my keto plan and workout routine. It all comes down to one and the same thing: consistency.
To anyone on their own transformation journey - don’t give up. Show up every day. Even on the tough days. That’s how the change happens. My journey wasn’t perfect, but this is what I’ve learned and live up to this day.
